Charleston....with toddlers

Last week we went to Charleston for 4 days while Ben was still on Christmas break...we were lucky to get warm weather! Especially after being in chilly Minnesota for Christmas. Here are some photos and explanations of what we did, ate and saw...enjoy! xoxo (this is not sponsored by any of the activities we did...just showing you what we did:)

DAY 1:

We stayed just over the bridge from Charleston in beautiful Mt. Pleasant.

The vintage coffee cafe was definitely a favorite...so adorable...

and a fun vintage truck turned playground for the kids.

next stop was the beach..Sullivan's Island public beach was just a few miles from our hotel. This was definitely a toddler approved activity.

Dinner at the Hominy Grill was delicious and a good taste of Low Country food.

DAY 2:

Walked along Waterfront Park...fountains and big swings make for a perfect activity with kids.

We found this little gem...Tom's Toys was a big hit...spent almost an hour in here building things with these blocks.

So many fun places to shop on King St.

And tacos at  Basico.

DAY 3:

This morning started with a tour at the historic Boone Hall Plantation.

The kids loved walking through the gardens.

We had lunch and walked the Shem Creek in Mt. Pleasant before heading back to Charleston
for treats and coffee!

Isn't this shop adorable! And filled with cupcakes etc:)

Found this fun toy store on our walk...the Magnifilous Toy Emporium!

Then a mocha for momma at Kudu...while the kids threw coins in the fountain.

Ended the day with dinner at Butcher & Bee...in their beautiful new location.

Whipped feta, hummus, pitas and bacon wrapped dates!!

DAY 4:

Before the 4 hour drive home we stopped at the Memorial Waterfront Park in Mt. Pleasant
 for the views and...

Fun play ground!

But we couldn't leave Charleston without getting a few donuts...

and a Jasmine tea.

Such a fun trip to the Holy City!
