After shopping Brimfield this morning my mom and I are heading to Boston for the weekend. I love that beautiful city and am looking forward to going there with my mom. Hope you all have a great weekend...and to you moms out there...Happy Mother's Day!
Favorite four this week (clockwise from top left)...1-getting my favorite summer treat in our neighborhood, birthday cake ice cream with rainbow sprinkles at the Scoops window. 2-I have always loved this saying and now you can get it framed at Target for only $14.99...I'm thinking I can whip up my own version of this so you can be looking for a DIY post in the future. 3-I had brunch with the girls 2x this weekend...such a treat. 4-Oh my the Black Keys! Love love loving their music these days and figured I needed to buy the album for our road trip to and from Massachusetts.

Local Stationary
This morning my mom and I are headed to Brimfield and I am super ecstatic about it. I have been wanting to go for the past 5+ years but am just now making it up there. My hope is that I will see a celebrity and find something awesome to buy...is that too much to ask!?! I will definitely be posting about it next week and of course tweeting through the entire experience if you want to see what I am up to.
On another subject...being a graphic designer I am obsessed with good stationary. Here is my little collection of local stationary...of course I can't send them to anyone because they are too perfect and I can't part with them. Someday I plan on using them as art but I currently don't have enough wall space. Happy Thursday! xoxo

Quinoa Salad
Friday night I was invited to a Pinterest Potluck. Meaning you bring a recipe you have pinned on one of your boards. I decided to bring a quinoa salad. I think they are delicious and I always see such good recipes for them. I ended up making my own recipe with things I liked and had in the house. Here is the recipe I came up with (and will be pinning, so technically I'm not breaking the rules:) More on the party tomorrow...xoxo.
Quinoa Salad
1 cup uncooked quinoa
1 can whole kernel corn
2 can black beans
2 avocados peeled, pitted and cubed
1 red onion chopped
1-2 cups cherry tomatoes diced
1 cup fresh cilantro
Salt and Pepper to taste
Lime juice to taste
Cook quinoa according to box and let cool. Chop onion, tomatoes, cilantro, and avocado. Combine all ingredients.

Favorite Four
Happy Friday! Even though I only worked 4 days it seemed like the longest week ever. Maybe it was the cloudy/rainy days...who knows. Anyways I'm looking forward to a fun weekend. Tonight I have a Pinterest Potluck with some blogger/creative type girlfriends...I will be sure to post about that next week, and of course a Cinco de Mayo party on Saturday followed by a relaxed Sunday.
My favorite four from this week (clockwise from top left): 1-I finally got the CD 'My Head is an Animal' by Of Monsters and Men...I have loved their music since the first time I heard it last fall and am just now getting around to buying the whole album. I would totally recommend it. 2-Our 4 day getaway to Charlottesville was a huge highlight this week...that part of the country is too gorgeous! 3-I am really into glitter polish these days and this week bought it in both gold and silver...this is me doubling them up on my ring finger. 4-For some reason I have never actually bought a mango...I think they are delicious but never bought or cut into one until today...yum yum yum! Have a great weekend...see you Monday! xoxo

Macy's Flower Show
'Brasil: Gardens in Paradise' was the theme for this year's flower show at Macy's. It is something they do every year in their Grand Court. It is always a beautiful exhibit and the Grand Court happens to be where the women's shoe department is as well, so that makes it even more exciting. Sorry I didn't get this out in time for you to check it out yourself but hopefully you can see it next year if you are in Philadelphia. Here are a few photos from the 2 week event. xoxo

Gold Stripes
My girlfriend Kate took these pics while we were down in Charlottesville this weekend. It was anywhere from 50-70 degrees each day so layering was a must. Here is what I came up with for wine tasting Sunday. Thanks Kate! xoxo

Charlottesville Etc.
This past weekend Ben and I, along with another couple, hit up beautiful Charlottesville, VA. It was a fun 4 day
get away with good friends and activities; 'glamping', wine tasting, enjoying downtown Charlottesville and spending plenty of chill time in the yurt. Here are the places we went and a few photos from the weekend. I took so many pictures, as usual, it was hard to narrow it down.
Our itinerary:
On our drive down Friday we stopped in Leesburg, VA at the delicious Doner Bistro for lunch and La Grange winery for a little afternoon wine tasting.
Saturday we spent the day in downtown Charlottesville. After a delicious brunch with the locals at Bluegrass Grill and Bakery we hit up a few of our favorite shops on the 'mall'; Urban Outfitters, Rock Paper Scissors, and Caspari before getting pedicures at Nanda Nails. The guys happily chilled at the Cville Smoke Shop. Afterwards we all met up for an afternoon pick me up at Mudhouse Coffee.
Sunday was our wine tasting day so we picked up the essential food to bring along at Feast! then made the rounds to Sharp Rock, Kings Family and Pollak vineyards. We were blessed with an absolutely gorgeous day.
Monday was our final day so we went to one of our favorite wineries in the area Keswick Vineyards before heading back to Philadelphia.
Hope my little guide helps you if you plan on heading to Cville in the near future...xoxo.
Doner Bistro and Biergarten...delicious food, drinks and candy! (Ben, who grew up in Germany, was in heaven.)
Our accommodations for the weekend...a luxury yurt...therefor the term glamping (glamorous camping).
Mudhouse Coffee...loved the interior!
Picking up some snacks before hitting up the wineries...dried meats, cheese, bread, crackers, fruit...yum!
Enjoying the beautiful day at Sharp Rock Vineyards.

Happy Anniversary!
Yesterday was the one year anniversary of Prince William and Kate! I have been a huge fan of the royal family ever since I can remember so missing the royal wedding was never an option. My close girlfriend (equally obsessed) and I had a royal wedding all nighter to celebrate the event last spring, we wouldn't have missed it for anything. Here is a picture of our early morning snack, The Royal Wedding donut from Dunkin Donuts. Happy Anniversary! xoxo
